Peonies possess a rare and fleeting beauty, their brief season making them all the more precious. Among flowers, they stand apart—celebrated for their abundance of petals, their extravagant fullness, and a spectrum of color that ranges from wild, intoxicating pinks to the quiet elegance of subdued whites.

Their ephemeral nature speaks to the passing of time, the rhythm of growth and renewal. In my work, I explore the peony’s lavish form, capturing its intricate layers and luminous presence. Through close observation, I seek to translate its essence—not just as a botanical marvel, but as a symbol of life's fleeting yet profound beauty, an echo of both abundance and impermanence.
