Quiet Drift

In Quiet Drift, the fluidity of water and the human form merge, reflecting the profound ways in which we become our environment over time. The central figure, a reclining nude, twists and turns within the currents, her body echoing the movement of water—or perhaps the water mirrors her. This interplay speaks to the gradual transformation that time impresses upon us, just as flowing water slowly wears down stone.

The figure’s posture suggests both surrender and introspection. With arms lifted, head turned away, and legs entwined, she embodies a state of quiet reflection. The reclining pose conveys stillness, a necessary submission to the deeper currents of life’s meaning. In this work, water becomes more than an element—it is a force of time, change, and continuity, shaping both body and soul.

Through this sculpture, I explore the quiet drift of existence, where stillness and movement coexist. It is in these moments of calm that we come to understand the deeper, unseen forces shaping our lives.
